We’re true dog lovers at Davejohn’s Forge. Guests are encouraged to bring their four legged family members and enjoy the freedom of the local beaches together.

Just returned from a fantastic few days in Donegal staying at Davey Jones Forge. The log cabins were ideal the hot tub and sauna really add to the whole experience. Thank you Shane for the details that you provided the whole experience was easy and straight forward. Lastly this truly is a spectacular part of Ireland the beaches and scenery in the surrounding areas are incredible I highly recommend anyone to visit as I am sure you will return as will we. Really enjoyed our stay here. Had everything we needed for our stay, the hot tub is excellent and was ready to use as soon as we arrived. Lovely location and short drive to local areas. Recommend Nedās a short drive away for lovely bakes. Projector was a big hit with our daughter.

This was our second time visiting Davey Johns Forgeās. Beautiful scenery and very convenient location between two villages. Cabin was spotless and very easy to get to. Thereās evident effort of care towards the property. We absolutely loved the hot tub and sauna! And we were delighted that we could bring our dog. We hope to be back again someday soon.

Where to begin,,
I stayed at Davey Johns Forge Cottage and Cabin , from Friday 3rd April to the 6th, I stayed in cabin 2 and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish.
The place itself is beautiful, cozy, and very well maintained, with everything you could need for a relaxing stay.
Design, layout and details are all covered š.
One of the highlights was definitely the Hot Tubāit was fantastic and made the whole trip feel extra special.
It was heated up and ready to use from arrival which was amazing, perfect for unwinding in the evenings after exploring the area.
There is a ready to go BBQ for cooking and a Wood Fire Stove by the table to light well enjoying freshly cooked food from the BBQ or from cooking inside the cabin.
The location is also ideal, offering a great balance of peaceful surroundings while still being convenient for getting around and seeing nearby attractions.
Overall, I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
I will definitely be returning there again and i am already trying to make it very soon .

Lovely stay in the cabin, we found the host to be very friendly and responsive and there were lots of helpful instructions. The cabin was very cosy and as described and had everything you needed. The hot tub was a lovely extra and easy to use and always warm. The only slight downside was that we hadnāt realised that the property was on a busy main road and the view down to the road in Cabin 1 wasnāt quite as we had pictured. However we couldnāt fault anything else.

Perfect family break. Couldn't fault our stay. The hot tub was spotless and ready to use, the bed linen, towels and robes were plentiful, high quality and comfortable. The house is exactly as shown in the pictures with an added bonus of a covered hot tub and gorgeous outdoor lights (much needed in Donegals precarious weather). Our host was proactive, checking on us, and helpful with any questions. Highly recommend for a family (5 of us plus a dog) as a cosy base to explore Donegal.

We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, both were clean and easy to use and bath robes were provided which was a great addition. Really appreciated the detailed instructions Shane sent us beforehand on how to use everything. The cabin itself was nice and clean. Free Parking
There's plenty of parking at Davey John's. Cabin users can park at the top of drive with Cottage guests outside the door.
Bedroom Comforts
We have a King Size bed in the Cabin with a mattress that's 'Hotel Quality'. Fresh linen and towels are provided.
Did we mention the Hot Tub?
Our Hot Tub comes from Softub. The maket leaders in Canada and has to be experienced to be believed.Ā
Cabin Entertainment
The 42" TV is already connected to Netflix, Amazon Prime and Disney Plus. The RTE player is availabel too. There's a bluetooth speaker available too if you'd prefer to chill to music.
Pets Welcome
As Dog lovers ourselves, pets are very welcome in the Cabin. We have a dog bed available and a cage if you need to pop out on your own.
Computer Station
iI you need somewhere to work there's a dedicated work station in the Cabin. Just pop up the table and you'll have access to plenty of power sockets and internet access.
Cycling, Golf and Water Sports
We have plenty of bike storage on site along with a set of Golf clubs and a Kayak if you're feeling adventurous.
Horse Riding
We'e spoiled with two excellent riding schools within a 10 minute drive of Davey John's. Carrigart Riding School and Ashfield Riding School are both great!
Full refund for cancellations up to 30 days before check-in. If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that.
